WHO WE ARE
Who We Are
Our Mission
To provide superior quality psychological services to the East African Community ensuring that individuals live fulfilling lives through better wellbeing.
Our Vision
To have a footprint on the mental health landscape of East Africa.
Wellness Psychological Services is the brainchild of young Ugandan clinical psychologists who found that the biggest barrier to seeking help in the community for mental health challenges is stigma and a lack of knowledge.
As a result, WellnessPsychUg seeks to increase our community’s understanding of mental health especially mental health literacy and mental health help-seeking behaviour. Our hope is to be part of an East Africa that is more inclusive and better able to support people’s mental health and wellbeing.
Learning is best accomplished in dynamic spaces where learners and facilitators meet as equals to create change. WellnessPsychUg is committed to making such spaces possible for the people we come into contact with.
We do this for everyone but are especially interested in spaces for young people to take an active lead in the development of their own wellbeing.
Our Values
We seek to understand and share the feelings of others.
We are truthful and honest at all levels. We see and interact with the world as it really is.
We are individuals who are passionate about the wellbeing of others.
We work together to improve mental wellbeing with all willing partners for all.
We value every individual’s being and ideals.
